What this tool does

The calculator is intended as a technical calculation aid for professional users. It does not use patient-related factors and does not alter specified values based on medication, coagulation status, haematocrit or diagnoses.

Methodology & limitations

Why no “optimal dose”?

Anticoagulant, concentration, blood volume and processing can be system-specific. The tool therefore only calculates a value entered by the user and does not define a medical target itself.

Where should the ratio come from?

From the valid IFU for the system used, a manufacturer protocol or an internally validated SOP. Example values in the calculator are explicitly not stored as protocols.

Why no patient data?

The calculator is not intended to derive diagnostic or therapeutic decisions. Medication, coagulation status and other patient-specific parameters are therefore deliberately excluded from the calculation.

Manufacturer and system information

Manufacturer information may differ depending on the system, product and document version. The current valid IFU and the requirements approved for the respective workflow are authoritative.
