After an unsuccessful direct attempt, consumers may submit a request to the German Universal Conciliation Body.

The neutral body reviews the matter out of court and assists both sides in seeking a solution.

EU ODR platform
The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform has been discontinued. No new complaints could be filed after 20 March 2025. The ODR Regulation was repealed with effect from 20 July 2025. References to Article 14 or the former platform are therefore no longer current.
