What does 32G mean on a needle?
The gauge number is a standardised size designation related to the needle’s outer diameter. As a rule, the higher the number, the thinner the needle. A 34G needle is therefore thinner than a 32G or 30G needle.
The gauge value does not indicate the needle length. Length is stated separately in millimetres. The actual inner diameter and flow rate also depend on the wall design, not only on the gauge size.

Blunt microcannulas are not inherently more suitable or safer than sharp injection needles. The choice depends on the planned technique, the product used and the stated intended purpose.

With a Luer Slip connection, the needle is pushed onto the conical syringe tip. A Luer Lock connection is additionally secured by a threaded fitting. The needle and syringe must be technically compatible. Suitable products are available in the syringes category.
