NANOSOFT™ 0.6 mm – three hollow silicon microneedles for controlled intradermal delivery

NANOSOFT™ 0.6 mm is a sterile microneedle system for professional intradermal injection. NANOSOFT is based on NanoPass MicronJet™ technology: three hollow, pyramid-shaped microneedles made from silicon crystal, each 0.6 mm long. The device is mounted on a suitable standard syringe in the same manner as a conventional needle and is intended for single use.

Design principle

Three micro-pyramids – fixed 0.6 mm length

Instead of one conventional steel needle, NANOSOFT uses three parallel hollow micro-pyramids. NanoPass manufactures this structure from silicon crystal using MEMS technology.

The short fixed geometry is designed for shallow intradermal delivery. Actual use still depends on technique, angle, pressure, the injected product and the manufacturer IFU.
