High needle density without choosing the maximum 42-needle configuration

The 36-needle version sits clearly between 24 and 42 needles. It provides more needle contacts per stroke than the 12- and 24-needle cartridges while remaining below the maximum 42-needle configuration. This makes the choice easy to understand when a high, but not maximum, needle count is preferred.
