Vi PRP-PRO Practice Pack

40 sterile PRP tubes for practices with recurring PRP workflows.

Four sales units of 10 tubes each. The same tube system, a more predictable stock level, and no unnecessary repetition of the single-pack description.

Why the practice pack makes sense

Plan stock more easily

For recurring PRP appointments, a 40-pack can be easier to manage than frequent small reorders.

One system for the team

Four packs with the same Vi PRP-PRO tube support consistent material handling.

Technically defined

Borosilicate glass, sodium citrate and thixotropic separator gel – the relevant system features are visible at a glance.

PRP workflow at a glance

Tap the graphic or hover over it. It illustrates the technical workflow and is not a treatment recommendation.

1 · Blood collection

Vacuum tube

The Vi PRP-PRO tube is designed for about 9 ml of blood and contains 0.8 ml sodium citrate.

2 · Centrifugation

Think RCF, not RPM alone

Reference value for this system: 1200 × g for 7 minutes. Required RPM depends on rotor radius.

3 · Phase separation

Respect the gel barrier

The thixotropic separator gel supports physical phase separation. Do not disturb the gel barrier during withdrawal.

Technical data

Regulatory statusClass IIa medical device; CE marking according to manufacturer documentation

Centrifugation: the two values to start with

1200 × gtarget RCF
7 minrun time
RPMdevice-dependent

A fixed RPM value cannot be transferred cleanly to every centrifuge. Rotor, radius, adapters and device limits must match the tube and protocol.

Stock planning without sales hype

1–2 appointments/week
several weeks of stock depending on tubes used per case
3–5 appointments/week
larger buffer and fewer reorders
daily routine
base stock; calculate consumption from your internal SOP
Actual coverage depends on the number of tubes used per application. It should not be presented as a guaranteed fixed number.

Important points for daily practice

After blood collection, mix the tube gently as specified by the manufacturer; do not shake vigorously.
Balance tubes and rotor symmetrically.
Do not pierce or disturb the gel barrier during withdrawal.
Single-use product: do not reuse or resterilise.
The IFU, intended purpose, internal SOP and centrifuge documentation remain decisive.

Frequently asked questions

Is the practice pack a different tube from the 10-pack?

No. The practice pack contains four sales units of ten Vi PRP-PRO tubes. The difference is the total quantity.

Does Vi PRP-PRO contain melatonin?

No. Vi PRP-PRO contains sodium citrate and thixotropic separator gel, but no melatonin.

Why is there no fixed RPM setting here?

Because RPM depends on the effective rotor radius. Target RCF is more useful when transferring a protocol.

Who is the product intended for?

Qualified professional users. Preparation and use must follow manufacturer documentation, intended purpose and the internal SOP.

For qualified professional users only. Not a treatment recommendation. Check product and centrifuge parameters against the current manufacturer documentation before use.

What is PRP?

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. Centrifugation is used to obtain a plasma fraction with an increased platelet concentration from a blood sample. PRP is used and scientifically investigated in a range of medical and aesthetic fields. A qualified practitioner assesses whether an application is appropriate based on the indication and the procedure used.

Centrifugation (reference values)

Centrifugation settings depend on the centrifuge, rotor, rotor radius and (if applicable) adapters/inserts. Whenever possible, work with RCF (g) rather than RPM only, as RPM can vary depending on the device and radius.

Reference setting for Vi PRP-PRO

  • Target: 1200 RCF (g)
  • Time: 7 minutes
  • Important: Always balance the rotor (use a counterbalance if required)

Example values (1200 RCF / 7 minutes) - device-dependent

Centrifuge RPM (as an example)
Hettich EBA 200 3500 rpm
Hettich EBA 270 2900 rpm
SERVOspin Evolve 3400 rpm
DUO PRF/PRP 3100 rpm

Practical notes (handling)

  • After blood collection, gently invert the tube 7 times to mix blood and sodium citrate evenly.
  • When collecting PRP, do not insert the needle into the separation gel and do not disturb the gel barrier.
  • Use according to your internal SOP and the instructions for use; single-use product (do not reuse, do not resterilize).

Note: The values provided are for reference only. The instructions for use and your centrifuge specifications (rotor/radius/adapters) are decisive.
