PRP treatment procedure

- A small blood sample is taken from the patient using PRP tubes. 

- The blood is taken and put into a centrifuge. This centrifuge spins the blood and separates it into three different layers: the platelet-poor layer, the buffy coat (which contains the platelets and white blood cells) and the red blood cells. It is this middle layer that is called PRP (platelet-rich plasma). 

- PRP is minimally processed to produce a nebulised solution. The nebulised PRP concentrate is then introduced into the lungs through a nebuliser. 

The concentrated cells are naturally trapped in the lung tissue where they can begin to promote healing in the lungs. The plasma adheres to the lung and triggers a healing response. This new delivery method allows the patient to breathe aerosolised particles of nebulised PRP and increase platelet flow to the endothelial surface, reducing inflammation and stimulating healing. 

Then, over the course of several weeks to months, damaged tissue in the area begins to heal and is gradually replaced by new, healthy tissue. Most patients find that their chronic pain can be reduced or eliminated with one or more PRP applications.
